Shabby Chic Card with Video Tutorial by Elena Olinevich

Hello friends,
I've a got a new card to share with you.

I used some new products from the new release.
I wanted to create something cold and soft at the same time,
so that is the reason for the color choice.

Here is a start to finish tutorial I made for you.

Spring Floral Birthday Card by Tracey Sabella

Hi everyone! It's Tracey back to share a spring, floral birthday card featuring Donna's new Spellbinders® Flower Bouquet stamp and die set, scheduled for release next month. It was so much fun to color the stamped image with lovely spring colors using Donna's Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Pigment Powders.

I have a dear friend who's birthday falls on St. Patrick's Day. Of course she adores green on her special day, so I've used a green backdrop for the lovely stamped image.

Tips and Techniques
Donna's pigment powders can be mixed together to create a wide variety of colors. Add a little extra water to lighten and a bit more pigment powder to darken for shading.

I used wine and pink for the large rose, gold for the yellow flowers and gold mixed with pink and wine for the darker yellow flower centers and buds.

The leaves are a blend of blue and yellow.

I simply mixed the pigment powder into water to create these shimmering "paints." To keep the dry "paint" from rubbing off, I spritzed the finished image with a spray matt fixative.

It was easy to line up and cut out the stamped image with the included die. So much easier than fussy cutting!!

I've stamped the birthday sentiment with Donna's Colorbox Stormy Mix'd Media Inx.

The Flower Bouquet set includes a die for these sweet flowers. They are cut from manilla and colored with pigment powder. The sequins are adhered with a Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®  DODZ™ - Mini.

The final die in this set is this sweet leafy flourish. I cut it from patterned paper and inked with several shades of Donna's Colorbox® Mix'd Media Inx.

The background script is stenciled with molding paste. Once dry, I spritzed with Clearsnap® River Mossy Smooch Spritz.

Thanks for dropping by today!!

~ Blessings ~

Create Happy Canvas ~ by Mistra Hoolahan

Hi lovelies, Mistra here with you again today! I have a cute little 8x10 Canvas to share with you today. I've had this preprinted canvas for ages, had to buy it {butterflies and all} but wasn't sure what to do with it... until I decided to play with Donna's new Pigment Powders from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ and literally threw it on there... yum and fun!!

In my little house that is slowly becoming all 'sensible' beige while I'm getting it renovated for sale, I created this little bit of pink bliss just for me... pink is my happy!! Pink Pigment Powders, Pink roses, Pink inked butterflies... and even a Pink daisy thrown in there!

Using Donna's Wonderful Wings Die I cut a cute little butterfly from some of Donna's Canvas Ribbon found in the Denim Ribbon pack from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™, frayed the edges and inked it with Donna's Chiffon Mix'd Media Inx from Clearsnap.

... and cut some flowers using Donna's Rose Creations Dies from Spellbinders.

These little chipboard hearts were dabbed with white gesso to give a textured base, then touched with some Pink Pigment Powder mixed in a matte gel medium. I used this mix across the background as well and while wet sprinkled it with Twinkle Dust Glitter! I love how versatile Donna's new Pigment Powders are!

My Moon & Stars by ~Donna

Hello my peeps! Today I'm sharing a canvas that I made using some of my favorite products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™, Clearsnap and Spellbinders.
You can see a Quick Craft Tip video for making the metallic sprockets on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ blog

Here is a photo of the finished canvas.

I also used my E-Z Stars with my Twinkle Dust glitter from Clearsnap. I stamped words onto strips of the Canvas Ribbon using my Mix'd Media Inx CHOX and I added stars die cut from the Canvas Ribbon as well that I colored with Gold Pigment Powder.

Below is a side view of the Sprockets on the canvas. I used 3D Foam Squares, Dodz XL, and 3D Dodz (all from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™) to adhere the sprockets to the canvas. I tied string to "hang" the moon and stars from the sprockets and I added Ice Resin over the entire canvas to seal everything and make sure the pieces were stiff enough to be on a canvas mounted on the wall.

Below is a close up of the background that was made using Smooch Spritz from Clearsnap and Fast Finish Decoupage. I love the drips and the way they move around the texture on the canvas that was made with Ceramic Stucco texture paste from Liquitex.

In the photo below you can see more of the background as well as the light shining off the ICE Resin.

HKC - Life More Abundant by ~Donna

Hello my peeps! I'm sharing the 8x10 mixed media canvas that I made this week for the "Take Me Deeper" project on the His Kingdom Come site. I really liked the idea of this canvas and how it looked in my head but it didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted it to. I filled the heart with paper flowers that I die cut using my Carnation Creations dies and a paperback bible (that I got specifically for crafting). I wanted the flowers and pearls to show an abundantly overflowing heart with the word of God blooming inside and little gems (adhesive pearls) strewn about. That is how I made it but after I sealed the flowers and pearls the flowers kinda got lost in the mix. It is still a cute canvas but not what I wanted it to be. Oh well... I don't have to love every single canvas right?

Here are the pictures:

In the photo below you can see my new Lace Ribbons from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ (the loopy lace and the wide lace across the bottom and I also tied the wide lace into a bow). I used Fast Finish Decoupage to stiffen up the bow.

In the photo below you can see a close up of all the teensy little flowers that I die cut out of a bible using my Carnation Creation dies from Spellbinders. You can also see where I outlined the heart with some Spectrum Noir pens. I like that these pens work well over paint and decoupage mediums.

In the photo below you can see the DIY Decor Tape Wooden Grain that was used on the background of this canvas as well as a mish mash of several different stencil mask fonts... both from Hazel and Ruby.

The photo below shows my Lace Ribbons (from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™) that go across the top of the canvas. You can also see how I shadowed the words with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Product used:

Lace Ribbon
Crafty Power Tape
Dodz™ 3D

Carnation Createions

Hazel & Ruby - DIY Decor Tape - Wooden Grain, Stencil Masks - Miscellaneous
Liquitex - Basics paint
Beacon Adhesives - Fast Finish Decoupage
Spectrum Noir - Alcohol Markers

Happy Easter!!! "He Is Risen" by ~Donna

Happy Easter my peeps! I'm so excited to share this project with you. After I make each new project I feel like it is my new favorite but I honestly feel that this will be one of my favorites for a long time... not only because I like the project but because of the meaning behind it. I know that there are a lot of crosses that have Christ on it but I like the empty crosses because, YES, what he did on the cross was amazing and I am so grateful that he died for me... BUT, He got off that cross and he rose again. It is one thing to die for your beliefs, for your family, or for your friends, but there is only ONE person who defeated death and it is because of Him that I am forgiven! I hope that you all have a wonderful Easter weekend and that you get to spend it with the people you love most!!!

I embellished with my Bitty Blossoms from Spellbinders with some of my lace and Gold Pigment Powder from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ I also used Crafty Power Tape to adhere the lace, Dodz™ 3D to adhere the flowers, and 3D Foam Squares to adhere the crown.

I've been using watercolor pencils for the shadowing on my canvases but I used a Spectrum Noir alcohol ink pen on this canvas and I LOVE the way it turned out!!!

The wonderful woodgrain in the background was made using Hazel and Ruby's DIY Decor Tape Wooden Grain. I also used some of their letter stencils and shapes for the word "Risen".

I love how the peeled paint technique looks over the wood grain!

I made the crown by cutting up some crown dies that I cut out with an older Spellbinders die.

Pigment Powder - Gold
Lace Ribbon
Crafty Power Tape
Dodz™ 3D
3D Foam Squares

Bitty Blossoms

Mix'd Media Inx CHOX - Sparrow

Hazel & Ruby - DIY Decor Tape - Wooden Grain, Stencil Masks - Central Park Alpha
