Peeled Paint Technique by ~Donna

Hello my peeps! Today I have another Quick Craft Tip for you... how to make a peeled paint background for your mixed media projects. I'm using one of the super thick pages from my new Denim Art Journal from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L as the base of this project and I've added a stick  to the top (one of the many gathered by my grand son, Hunter) to use to hang it on the wall.

This is the finished wall hanging:

You can watch the video for the Peeled Paint Technique HERE.

Last week I shared a Quick Craft Tips video on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog showing how I made the little denim flowers and how I made the embossed letters and you can see that post HERE.

Today I'm going to show you some additional stepped out photos of some of the techniques I used on the background.

I began by adding a few stars with my new E-Z Stars Runner.

I sprinkled some of my Mix'd Media Inx Embossing Powder in Jasmine over the stars, returned the excess powder to the container...

Then I heat set the stars.

I added a few more stars, used my Mix'd Media Inx Embossing Powder in Denim and heat set those too.

I added some script using my Dear Sir stamp with my Stormy Mix'd Media Inx...

I added Clear embossing powder then heat set the script.

I adhered some of my new 3D Foam Swirls adhesives to some clear acrylic and covered the sticky side with clear gesso and let it dry. Then I used the foam adhesives like a stamp.

I used my Mix'd Media Inx in Jasmine, used Jasmine Embossing Powder and heat set the swirls as well.

And here are a couple close ups of the finished project...
