Girlie Grunge Christmas Card by ~ Elena Olinevich

Hello everyone. Elena is here to share with you a Christmas card I made for a friend of ours who is forced to spend his time so far away from home, and I just thought that a card with some grungy girly touches can make him smile. So here is a mix of something masculine and feminine at the same time.

As it was supposed to be made for a young man, I thought how could I use some flowers and some wintery at the same time. And the decision was to combine snowflakes and flowers.

Here is a simple tutorial on how it was created:

I used Donna's Rose Creations dies by Spellbinders and cut some flowers from Want2Scrap Corrugated Board

Next step was to distress them . You can use any tool you have, I did ut with my old nail file.

After that you can apply acrylic primer or heavy gesso on some areas of the flowers.

Arrange your flowers with punched snowflakes and color them with Smooch Glitz and Pearlized ink.
Attach a brad and here you have a snowflake - flower.

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial
and I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and
may your holiday be filled with lots of warm memories!!!
