Tuesday Tutorials - Tulip Tie Dye

Hello my peeps!
This tie dye kit from I LOVE TO CREATE is the PERFECT product to use for some summer fun!

I was originally going to make just one project for this week's show but I was having so much fun that it turned into an all day tie dye party with me and my girls! My excuse was that Tulip suggests that you use the dye in the spray bottles within 24 hours... so we just HAD to keep playing... LOL! With this one pack of tie dye spray bottles we made 7 T-shirts, 7 scarves, 3 onesies, a pair of sneakers... and we had more left over. We used the tie dye pens to create lots of fun accents, too.

Special Tips
1. Mix the dyes with warm water but use a gloved hand on top to shake the bottle to mix before putting the nozzle on, otherwise you could clog the nozzle (like we did).
2. If you don't want dyed hands then DEFINITELY use the gloves that are provided for you in the kit because this solution will dye your skin.
3. If you feel like it is difficult to spray the nozzle, STOP and clean it out. If you force it, you could crack the nozzle head.
Fun Techniques
1. Spray your project with water first and watch how the dye will swirl and blend on it's own.
2. Use masks and stencils for some fun artistic effects.
3. Use the tie dye pens to add detail on dry material and artistic effects on wet material.
