Hello everybody! Today I have a layout to share with you all, a layout about one of my sweet nephews, Malte. He is three years old and just adorable :)
I have worked with GCD Studios and Donna's Beautiful Family Jeans Collection. The two background papers are Denim Stripe B and Family Eyelet A. I distressed the edges and layered the papers. Then I used papers from the 6x6 paper pad (Denim Stripe B and Pages A and B) and layered several pieces of paper. I just love the pink polka dots as a contrast to the green and white on this page! I have also used a piece from the Mix'd Media Stax, just a left-over piece laying around my scraptable. I save almost every paper scrap, you never know when you need them!
I made several flowers using Spellbinders Rose Creation dies. I used the Denim Stripe paper for these. Love making flowers that coordinates perfectly with the papers I use! I have wrinkled the flowers and painted the edges with some white gesso, to get a shabby look.
Here is another flower, using the same dies:
I have put some Want2Scrap & Donna's bling with my flowers, Sprightly Sprocket white pearls.
When I created my background I also used Want2Scrap's and Donna's brick stencil with some texture paste. I first put some cheesecloth on the background papers, then "glued" this with some gesso, added the small pieces of paper and finally used the brick stencil.
Here's the flowers from another angle. I just love how the stripes of the paper used to create the flowers are "peeping through" here!
Thank you for stopping by the blog today!
xoxo
Helena
