Creative Team Guest - Meihsia Liu's Art Journal Page

Hi, everyone, Meihsia here today to share an art journal page using the kraft chipboard page in Donna's Denim Art Journal. I really wanted a bright and delightful creation, so I decided to make a gold and yellow color scheme on this journal page.

I started this project with applying Gesso on the kraft background. The flower texture was made with the modeling paste and ColorBox Art Screen Bloom. To colored the flower and the background of the page, I mixed Mix'd Media Inx Refill Petals with water and applied the mixture on the flower and page.

To create the gold effect on the flower, I added some Pigment Powder Gold using a pen brush.

The ribbon flower was made with Donna's Lace Ribbon. I really enjoyed creating ribbon flowers with all different beautiful textures of Donna's ribbons.

After adding the layers of Lace Ribbons on the page, I randomly brushed some Pigment Powder Pink and Gold to add some more interest.

The Canvas Ribbon was colored with Mix'd Media Inx Refill and water mixture. I pasted the stars on the canvas using E-Z Stars Runner and brushed the Pigment Powder Brown over the stars, then peeled off the stars to make the masking effect.
