A Boy by ~Helena Johansson

A boy

I love making boy pages in soft colors and with lots of flowers! Today I have a layout to share, with photos of one of my sweet nephews, Gabriel. He is such a sweetheart and I love him dearly.

I have used papers from GCD Studios & Donna's Family Jeans collection. I have used 12x12 papers Family Cards (back) and Pages (front) for the background. I cut the papers using a diecut template, and then distressed the edges. I then painted the edges with some white gesso. I finally used a white sheet of paper in the back, and used a decorative scissors when cutting it.

Behind the photos I have used the same two papers from the Family Jeans collection, but from the 6x6 paper pad. I also used these papers when I made the flowers and other diecut shapes.

I have used several Spellbinder dies on this layout. Here you can see a flying bird from the Pocket and Swirls set. I have used Mix'd Media Inx, color Patina, on the edges.

Here is a small flower I made, using the Spellbinders Rose Creations die, two of the smaller sizes only.

I used three and four sizes of the same dies when I made these larger flowers. I have painted the edges with white gesso to make them look shabbier.

I have tucked a couple of swirls among my flowers and leaves, using Spellbinders Pocket and Swirl dies:

For my title, I have used GCD Studios & Donna's chipboard alpha, Natural Beauty collection:
