Donna Salazar Designs: Laughter ~ by Helena Johansson

Hi there! Today I have a layout to inspire you with, made with the Natural Beauty line by GCD Studios and Donna Salazar. I chose two papers, Soaring and Blue Fence, and cut them using a diecut paper. The Blue Fence paper I cut using a decorative scissors.

I have made some of the flowers on this layout, using Spellbinders Carnation Creations die and papers from GCD studios & Donna's, the Blue Fence paper, and papers from Mix'd Media Stax 2. I have a little tutorial further down to show you the steps on how I made the flowers.

The banner is die-cut shapes from the Family Jeans line by GCD Studios and Donna's - so cute!

The butterfly is a die from Spellbinders Wonderful Wings, and I've decorated it with bling from Want2Scrap and Donna's - just a perfect match :)

And here are a few more close-ups on my flowers. I really love how these turned out!

I made the flowers using the Spellbinders Carnation Creation dies, three different sizes. I cut some from the Blue Fence paper and some from the thick mulberry paper from the Mix'd Media Stax. For the other flowers on my page I used the mulberry paper and the script paper.

I then put the layers together, using a brad in the middle, and sprayed the flower with water. Then I wrinkled the flower into a little ball and let it dry. I used my heatgun to give it some help, waiting for things to dry is just so boring!

After it had dried I gently pulled the layers apart and arranged the petals a bit. I took a piece of cheesecloth and made that my bottom layer. Then I painted the edges with a bit of gesso.
