Donna Salazar Designs: Creative Team Guest - Meihsia Liu's Denim Art Journal

Hey, crafty friends, Meihsia here today to share a project featuring Donna's Denim Art Journal from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®. I really love the beautiful denim cover and enjoyed decorating it with the embellishments made with Donna's fabulous ribbons.

To start this project, I applied the modeling paste over Clearsnap ColorBox Art Screen Mesmerized on the denim cover, and applied the modeling paste over Clearsnap ColorBox Art Screen Rounded on the Canvas Flag. The bow was made with Canvas Ribbon, and I die cut the flower petals with the Denim Sheet, layered and glued them to make the denim flower.

To create the texture on the denim cover, I added some white sand texture paste randomly, and colored it with Mix'd Media Inx Chox Refill and water mixture using a brush.

The roses were made with Texture Ribbon. I colored the white organza with Mix'd Media Inx Chox Refill Petals with water mixture and made the pink rose.

The flowers and ribbon were layered and glued on the cover using Dodz™ XL. The Dodz™ XL is the best adhesive I ever used on the mixed media project since it adheres the heavy embellishments very well on various surfaces and materials.

To create the sentiment, I pressed the white foam letters on Mix'd Media Inx pads, then covered them with the Pigment Powder Blue and Gold.

I added some stars with E-Z Stars Runner on the Denim Ribbon, and applied some Pigment Powder Gold on the stars using a dry pen brush to finish off this project.
